Letter From Saint Francis President Dear Parents: As you know, Saint Francis High School is a nationally recognized School of Excellence that imparts Christian values and fosters academic achievement. Founded in 1955, and sponsored by the Brothers of Holy Cross, this school enjoys a tradition of parent involvement. Our educators, students and you, our parents, share in a community where expectations are exceeded. Value-based learning is at the heart of our mission statement, and you are encouraged to help nurture and reinforce our school-wide themes of Integrity, Compassion, Respect and Community. You are provided opportunities to participate in various retreats and community service programs, and you are always welcome to participate in our prayer services and school liturgies. Academic excellence and preparation for learning at the university level are key elements of our educational philosophy. We encourage you to become involved with your sons' and daughters' academic coursework and college planning. Communication between home and school in integral to student achievement. Leadership opportunities abound for the students at Saint Francis High School through clubs, activities and athletic programs. Encouraging your students to participate in these programs will enable them to grow into well-rounded individuals, and will help them develop special skills for college and beyond. From the beginning, the parents of Saint Francis High School students have helped to create the rich heritage of the school by working hand in hand with the Brothers of Holy Cross and with dedicated lay educators. I encourage your involvement and support of our school, and I welcome your comments and suggestions. Best regards, Kevin J. Makley ![]() |
