Casey Roche / Natasha Barthel to Stanford

Seniors Casey Roche and Natasha Barthel both signed their National Letter of Intent today to attend and participate in Track and Field next year at Stanford University in Palo Alto. 

Casey is currently ranked as the #1 returning Pole Vaulter in the United States.  Last summer Casey jumped an amazing 17’ 5” to win the event at the Junior National Olympics in Baltimore.  He also set the Junior Olympic and National Youth records, the St. Francis school record and moved into the #3 vaulter spot in California history.

Natasha finished off her junior year at 12’ 10” in the vault to capture #1 in WCAL, #2 in CCS, #3 at the State Meet, ranked #4 in the State and #6 in the Nation.  Natasha is currently ranked #15 on the All-Time California list.

Natasha and Casey join fellow 2006 St. Francis graduate Ben Sheehan (15’ 5”) at Stanford.
