CCS: The Varsity team, lead by Freshmen Shelby Golan’s tenth place finish in a time of 19:10, finished fifth in the Central Coast Section Division II Championship race at Toro Park. The team of Shelby, Sophomore Michelle Roemer (22 in 20:08), Junior Lexie Reynolds (26 in 20:15), Freshmen Alyssa Arvin (42 in 20:40), Sophomore Alison Hart (53 in 21:06), Junior Cassie Camilleri (60 in 21:23) and Frehmen Alies Perez (79 in 22:04) compiled 137 points. Presentation also had 137 points but the tiebreaker went to St. Francis based upon the finish of the sixth runner from each team.
In the combined results for all teams in all divisions St. Francis finished twelfth out of 62 teams. |

WCAL III: The Varsity team, minus Shelby Golan this time, finished fourth on the Crystal Springs course. The team was lead by Junior Lexie Reynolds’ fifteenth place finish and followed by Cassie Camelleri (18), Michelle Roemer (21), Alison Hart, (24), Alyssa Arvin (27) and Alexis Peres (29). The team qualifies for the CCS Championships on Saturday, November 13 at Toro Park based upon their team time of 1:02:03 – well below the at-large time. |

WCAL II: The Varsity team, minus Lexie Reynolds, finished fourth at the Golden Gate Park course. The team was lead by Freshman Shelby Golan’s fourth place finish and followed by Michelle Roemer, Cassie Camelleri, Alison Hart and Alyssa Arvin. The JV Girls were lead to a second place finish by a strong 6-7 finish from Melissa Tran and Christina Condon. The Freshmen Girls also finished in second despite a strong 2-4 finish from Ali and Andi Bo. |

WCAL I: At the first of three races to determine the WCAL Champions for 2004, the Lancers traveled to Alum Rock Park in Sane Jose. The JV team finished second to St. Ignatius, the Varsity team finished fourth, and the freshmen team finished second. |

Monterey Bay Invitational: The Lady Lancers had a very good day Toro Park. The JV Girls started the day off with an impressive 1-3-4-5-6 finish to easily capture the JV Girl’s Team Title. The team was lead by Claudia Eachus’ first place finish in a time of 22:25. The rest of the top five was composed of Joey Draeger, Isabelle Alford-Lago, Diana Keeler and Natalie Lai.
Next up the Frosh/Soph team, lead by Ali Bo and Andi Bo’s sixth and seventh place finish helped the girls captures second place. Ashmi Pathela, Katie Peterson and Tamara Caruso rounded out the top five.
The Varisty team ran with Freshman Shelby Golan but still managed fourth out of 18 teams. The squad was lead by Lexie Reynolds, Alison Hart, Cassie Camilleri, Alyssa Arvin and Alexis Perez. |

Crystal Springs Invitational: Once again the Top Performance of the day was Freshman Shelby Golan with her tenth-place finish in a time of 19:46 for the 2.95 mile Varsity course. The Varsity team finished sixth out of 18 teams despite missing senior Lexie Reynolds. The JV team won the team competition with an impressive 2, 3, 4, 5 and 13 place finishes. The team of Courtney Bibh (FR) in 21:24, Alexis Perez (FR) in 21:28, Alyssa Arvin (FR) in 21:38, Michelle Roemer (SO) in 21:43 and Ashmi Patheza (FR) in 22:48 easily beat the second place team. |

Lowell Invitational: The Top Performance of the Day was Freshman Shelby Golan with her eight-place finish in a time of 18:10 for the 2.8 mile Varsity course. The Varsity team finished fifth out of 15 teams. The JV team was lead to third place by Junior Claudia Eachus’ tenth-place finish in a time of 20:35. The Frosh/Soph team was lead by Sophomore Alison Hart’s ninth place finish in an extremely large (227 runners) field. Alison finished the 2.0-mile course in 13:41 to help the team to a fourth-place finish. |

From the non-scoring Gunn Alumni Meet: The Top Performance of the day was turned in by Junior Lexie Reynolds. She took second in the Varsity race with PR for the course. The JVs were lead by a PR third place finish from Sophomore Katie Peterson. Top newcomer Freshman Shelby Golan finished eighth in the Varsity race. |

St. Francis has been moved to Division 2 for the 2004 Cross Country season.
The other WCAL teams are distributed as follows:
D1 – Bellarmine and Serra;
D2 – St. Francis, Riordan and Mitty;
D3 – St. Ignatius;
D4 – Sacred Heart Cathedral and Valley Christian;
D5 – Sacred Heart Prep.
D2 qualifies 3 teams to the State Meet. |
