Gunn Alumni Meet On Thursday the Lancer Cross Country team travelled to Gunn High School for the annual Alumni Meet (non-scoring). The weather was better than last year’s 100+ heat (it was only in the high 90’s). Sophomore Moragn Healey, in her first ever cross country race (and coming off her 6th place finish last year in the CCS Track Meet 1600 final) ran the fastest time ever run on the 2.18-mile course with a fantastic time of 12:49 (6 seconds faster than Shelby Golan ran in 2007 and a blistering 5:52 per mile pace). Her time is also the 12th fastest time run by any girl from any school on the course. Following Morgan was Maddy Roemer (11 in 14:04), Emily Sitler (15 in 14:24), Annelise Brochier (16 in 14:24) and Adriana Roemero (20 in 14:52). The Junior Varsity race was won by another newcomer to Cross Country junior Lauren Madigan. Her time of 14:43 was good enough for a 7-second victory over second place. She was followed closely by Corri Montejano (4 in 14:52), Emilia Schrier (6 in 14:54), Tiffany Cardanini (9 in 15:12) and Carlie Mack (12 in 15:31) Pictures and Results are available below. |
