Who Will Carry to Banner This Year?

The 2008 season is fast approaching.  Who will be in the VTG this year?  Who will lead the charge?  A great group of returning young athletes will be lead by last year’s All-Freshmen Second Team selection Chris Ries.  Chris was singled out as one of the top 30 freshmen runners in the State of California by DyeStatCal.coml.  Chris won both the WCAL I and WCAL II Freshmen races, and the Sophomore race at WCAL III.  He then stepped up to Varsity for the CCS race and helped the team to the CCS Division II Championships.  He then went on to the State meet and ran well there as well.

Joining Chris this year should be:  juniors Kyle Anderberg (Varsity last year), Andres Schrier, Colton Wright, Nick Fiore and Ian Midiere, seniors Steven Foster, Nick Hart (both on Varsity last year), Chris Lee and Cody Stahl.  The Crystal Springs time for the top 5 returning runners from last year is 82:25 - which would have put us third at WCAL (where we finished in 2007) just ahead of Serra’s 82:58.
